The basic types of auto parts

Nowadays, the car has become an indispensable tool in our lives, whether it is travel or daily transportation, it provides us with great convenience, making the distance no longer so far. (1) Classification according to the nature of use

Auto parts can be classified according to the nature of the use of parts, which can be divided into five types

1. Basic parts: refers to some of the main assembly parts that make up the automobile, such as crankshaft, cylinder block, cylinder head, camshaft, frame, axle housing, transmission housing, etc

2. Consumables: refers to the parts that must be replaced due to natural aging, failure and expiration of some parts in the operation of the car, such as various transmission belts, filter elements, gaskets, tires, batteries, etc

3. Wearing parts: refers to the parts that are easy to be worn out and fail naturally during the driving of the car, such as bearings, piston rings, pistons, cam bearings, sleeves, valves, conduits, kingpins, kingpin bushings, wheel hubs, brake drums, various sealing oils, steel pins and sleeves, etc

4. Maintenance parts: maintenance parts refer to the parts that must be replaced after a certain operation cycle, such as various shafts, gears, fasteners of various moving parts, and parts that must be replaced in a certain service life, such as some fasteners, steering knuckles, half-shaft bushings, etc

5. Incident: Accident refers to the parts of the car that are damaged mainly due to the cause of the accident, such as bumpers, lamps, rearview mirrors, body covers, radiators, etc

(2) According to the source of the parts

If it is divided according to the source of suppliers of auto parts, it can be divided into two categories, one is called original parts; The other category is called fit parts.

The so-called original parts refer to the parts produced by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in full accordance with the standards and requirements stipulated by the company, which are specially used by automobile manufacturers for maintenance and replacement in transit. These products meet the standards set by the original manufacturer, and have the original factory trademark, the original part number (and sometimes the OEM trademark), and the original packaging. These products are generally supplied through authorized dealers or special service stores of automobile manufacturers.

Parts that are not supplied by the original manufacturer but can be applied to the same vehicle type as the corresponding original parts are called applicable parts. It's a bit more complicated.
